Next year, our KCS 8th graders will participate in a dynamic, hands-on, civic education program for students in Washington DC. As educators, we are always looking for new and interesting ways to provide extra challenges and opportunities to enhance our students’ educational experience. We strongly believe that Close Up does just that and will provide a learning experience of a lifetime!
With over 40 years of experience, Close Up is the nation’s largest non-profit and non-partisan citizenship education organization; and they are driven by a mission to help students become more effective and informed citizens. Their lesson plans complement the curriculum that we focus on throughout the school year, and Close Up’s interactive teaching methods inspire and empower students.
